Here is how I actually work.

Discover
I figure out what is actually broken. That means research, stakeholder conversations, and a lot of questions about who the users are, what the business is trying to do, and why. Building a strong foundation before I touch anything.
Define
I gather everything and narrow it down. Not every finding makes the cut. I am looking for the specific problem worth solving.

Develop
I design, test, analyze, refine and test again. That cycle does not end until something actually works.

Deliver
I deliver a finished, hand-off ready product. I work closely with the developers during the building so nothing gets lost in translation.
